Elon Musk’s companies have launched The X Subscription, a single plan that combines the Grok chatbot, the Cursor coding app and X Premium, with paid tiers starting at $8 a month.
Today we’re introducing The X Subscription, which brings together Grok, Grok Bot, Cursor, and X Premium in one plan,” the company said in an announcement dated Oct. 12. It said the plan was open to new customers right away and would reach everyone over the following days.
X Subscription prices and tiers
There is a free tier with daily access to Grok, a starter allowance for Cursor and the standard version of X. Paid plans are Plus at $8 a month, Premium at $30, Super at $100 and Ultra at $200.
Plus adds more Grok and Cursor usage along with a checkmark, creator tools and fewer ads on X. Premium includes the benefits of SuperGrok, Cursor Pro and X Premium+, which the company said previously cost $90 a month combined. Super and Ultra offer the same features with much higher usage limits.
Higher tiers remove ads from the X timeline entirely, according to the announcement. Teams can buy Premium, Super and Ultra at the same per-seat prices as individuals.
The launch comes as X faces growing competition from Meta’s Threads, which Mark Zuckerberg says has overtaken X in monthly users.
How usage works
Paid plans include a shared pool of Grok usage that covers the Grok apps, the Grok tab on X and Cursor, so heavy use in one product draws from the same allowance as the others.
Other companies’ models remain available in Cursor on Premium and higher plans, but that usage is billed separately at standard prices through top-ups.
What changes for current subscribers
“Nothing changes for existing SuperGrok, Cursor, or X Premium subscribers,” the company said. They can keep their current plan or switch to The X Subscription and receive a prorated refund for their old plan.
