A U.S. Air Force B-1B Lancer strategic bomber has landed at RAF Fairford in Gloucestershire, England, as Washington warned that a larger wave of strikes against Iranian targets could be coming amid the escalating conflict in the Middle East.

The long-range bomber, capable of carrying up to 24 cruise missiles, arrived at the British base after U.S. officials signaled plans to increase military pressure on Iran.

The deployment comes as fighting between Iran, Israel and U.S. forces continues to intensify across the region, according to multiple international reports.

British Prime Minister Keir Starmer approved the use of certain UK bases for U.S. military operations described as defensive, allowing American aircraft to operate from facilities such as RAF Fairford during the crisis.

The bomber deployment is part of a broader buildup of Western military assets as tensions rise and additional strikes against Iranian military infrastructure are being considered, according to defense officials and media reports covering the conflict.
