Iran has accused the United States of trying to divide the country and seize its natural resources as the conflict with U.S. and Israeli forces intensifies across the region.

Iran’s Foreign Ministry spokesman Esmaeil Baghaei said recent military attacks are part of a broader plan aimed at “partitioning our country to take illegal possession of our oil,” according to statements reported by Al Jazeera during ongoing war coverage.

The comments come as U.S. and Israeli strikes continue across several Iranian cities, including Tehran, during the second week of the widening conflict.

Iranian officials say the attacks target key infrastructure and leadership positions while Tehran vows to continue resisting foreign pressure.

Iranian leaders have warned that the country will defend its territorial integrity and resources, accusing Washington and its allies of attempting to weaken the Islamic Republic through military and political pressure.

The accusations highlight the escalating rhetoric between Tehran and Washington as the regional crisis deepens.
