A new national poll finds that a majority of Americans currently disapprove of President Donald Trump’s policy agenda, reflecting broad public dissatisfaction across several major issue areas.
According to the survey, more than 57 percent of respondents said they disapprove of the way Trump has handled key policies, including immigration, the economy, foreign relations and social issues.
In contrast, fewer than half of Americans under 43 percent said they approve of the president’s overall performance on policy matters.
The results mirror recent polling trends showing that Trump’s approval ratings remain below 50 percent, with higher disapproval margins on issues tied to border security, federal enforcement actions and economic concerns.
Trump’s administration has faced criticism on multiple fronts, including debates about tariff strategies, immigration crackdowns and federal involvement in local communities.
Political analysts say the latest figures suggest weakening public support for Trump’s approaches amid ongoing national debates. Disapproval was particularly strong among independent and moderate voters, while Republicans generally rated the president’s policies more favorably.
Pollsters noted that public opinion can shift over time, especially as national events evolve and political priorities change. The survey provides a snapshot of public sentiment at a moment when Trump’s policy decisions remain central to national discourse and the upcoming election cycle.
