Israel’s military said it has struck Iran’s Presidential office and Supreme National Security Council complex in Tehran, marking a significant escalation in the ongoing conflict between Iran and the U.S.–Israeli coalition. Israeli warplanes dropped dozens of bombs on what the military described as the country’s leadership compound in the heart of the Iranian capital, targeting key government and security buildings.
The reported death toll in Iran has risen to 787 since the joint U.S. and Israeli strikes began last weekend, according to the Iranian Red Crescent Society. The strikes have hit more than 150 towns and cities across Iran in a campaign that has brought widespread destruction to civilian areas and infrastructure.
Israel also reported increased operations in southern Lebanon, saying its ground forces would “advance and seize additional strategic areas” to counter cross-border threats and protect Israeli territory.
The continuation and expansion of the conflict come amid intense diplomatic pressure and global concern, with many nations calling for de-escalation as the region faces mounting humanitarian and security challenges.
The situation remains fluid, with further military activity expected in the coming days.
