Iran launched multiple waves of missiles into Israel on Tuesday, targeting urban areas including Tel Aviv, as the conflict between the two countries intensified, according to military officials and media reports.
Air raid sirens sounded across several cities, with impacts reported in central Israel causing damage to buildings and prompting emergency responses. Israeli authorities said air defence systems were activated, though some missiles penetrated defenses and struck populated areas.
The attacks came a day after U.S. President Donald Trump said there had been “productive” talks aimed at ending the war and suggested possible joint control of the Strait of Hormuz to stabilise the region.
Iran dismissed those claims, denying any negotiations with Washington and accusing the United States of spreading false information.
Officials in Tehran said ongoing military actions were part of broader plans that leave little room for diplomatic progress.
Israeli forces responded with airstrikes targeting Iranian-linked military infrastructure, as both sides continued exchanging attacks across the region, raising fears of further escalation.
The situation remains highly volatile, with diplomatic efforts ongoing but no clear sign of de-escalation as military operations continue on multiple fronts.
