The U.S. Department of Justice has released previously withheld documents from its Jeffrey Epstein investigation that include FBI interview summaries containing unverified allegations involving U.S. President Donald Trump, according to newly published records.
The documents summarize interviews conducted by FBI agents in 2019 with an unnamed woman who claimed she was introduced to Trump by Jeffrey Epstein in the 1980s and alleged abuse when she was a teenager.
The claims were not corroborated in the files, and Trump has repeatedly denied any wrongdoing connected to Epstein.
The Justice Department said the records had been mistakenly withheld during an earlier release of Epstein-related materials because they were “incorrectly coded as duplicative” during the review process.
The memos, totaling more than 50 pages, were part of the broader investigation linked to Epstein associate Ghislaine Maxwell, who was convicted of sex trafficking in 2022.
In a response to the release, the White House said the allegations were “completely baseless” and lacked credible evidence.
Officials added that Trump has not been charged with any crimes related to Epstein, and many mentions of his name in the files come from unverified tips or correspondence gathered during the investigation.
