Two people were killed in an Israeli drone strike in southeastern Lebanon, according to Lebanon’s state-run National News Agency and local officials.

The strike reportedly targeted a vehicle in an area near the border region, where Israeli operations have intensified amid the wider regional conflict.

Lebanese media said the drone strike hit a car in the Tyre district, killing two people at the scene.

Additional Israeli airstrikes were reported across several parts of southern Lebanon shortly after evacuation warnings were issued for areas south of the Litani River, according to regional reports.

The Israeli military has previously said such strikes target positions or members linked to the Hezbollah armed group.

Lebanese officials say repeated attacks have caused civilian casualties and damage to infrastructure in the country’s southern regions.

The latest strike comes as fighting tied to the expanding Middle East conflict continues to spill into Lebanon, with Israeli air operations and cross-border exchanges of fire reported frequently along the frontier.
