Bahrain’s Defense Force said its air-defense systems have intercepted and destroyed 105 missiles and 176 drones launched during the ongoing regional conflict involving Iran, according to an official statement.

Authorities said the projectiles were part of a broader wave of attacks targeting Gulf countries since the conflict escalated following U.S. and Israeli strikes on Iran.

Bahraini officials warned the missile and drone launches pose a serious threat to civilian areas and regional security.

The defense force said its military units remain on high alert and urged residents to follow safety instructions, avoid damaged areas and refrain from spreading unverified information as interception operations continue.

The attacks are part of a wider escalation across the Gulf, where several countries have activated air-defense systems to counter missile and drone strikes linked to the expanding Middle East conflict.
