President Donald Trump called for Iran’s “unconditional surrender” as Israel launched a new wave of airstrikes inside the country, saying it targeted a major underground leadership bunker in Tehran.

Trump made the remarks as fighting between Iran and the U.S.–Israel alliance intensified, with Israeli forces carrying out one of the largest strikes of the conflict so far.

Israeli military officials said about 50 fighter jets were involved in the operation, which targeted a fortified underground command complex believed to be used by senior Iranian leadership.

The Israeli military said the bunker was located beneath government and security facilities in Tehran and served as a key command center for coordinating military operations. Officials said the strike was intended to weaken Iran’s leadership structure and disrupt its ability to direct attacks.

The operation comes amid a rapidly escalating conflict between Iran and Israel, with both sides exchanging missile and drone strikes across the region.

Trump, speaking about the conflict, called for Iran to capitulate completely. “Unconditional surrender,” he said when asked what outcome he expects from Tehran.

Iran has not confirmed the extent of damage from the latest Israeli strikes, but Iranian forces have continued launching retaliatory attacks toward Israeli territory and U.S. positions in the region.

The expanding conflict has raised fears of a wider regional war as military operations continue across the Middle East.
