President Donald Trump sharply criticized the Super Bowl LX halftime show, calling it “absolutely terrible, one of the worst, EVER!” and saying it did not reflect American values after Puerto Rican artist Bad Bunny headlined the performance.

In a social media post following the show, Trump wrote that the halftime performance was “an affront to the Greatness of America” and said “nobody understands a word this guy is saying,” referring to Bad Bunny’s Spanish-language set.

He also called the choreography “disgusting” and argued it was inappropriate for children watching across the U.S. and around the world. Trump suggested the show failed to meet standards of success, creativity and excellence.

Bad Bunny’s halftime performance at Levi’s Stadium in Santa Clara, California, marked a historic moment with music, surprise guests and a celebration of culture, which drew widespread praise from many viewers and media outlets. Some conservative critics, including Trump, had earlier opposed his selection as headliner.

In response to the backlash from conservative circles, a separate “All-American Halftime Show” was hosted by a political organization featuring country and rock artists during the broadcast.

Despite Trump’s criticism, many fans and commentators celebrated the halftime show for its energy, cultural representation and message of unity.
